Finally it happens in Saigon,the government of Kenya fulfills a long waited promise in the village we are located. They will be finishing to bring electricity poles all over Saigon village next week,on pole is right inside the center. Everyone is now supposed to apply to the power company so that they drop power to every house. Usually it the governments work to fund electricity development in different areas and then individuals to apply for power supply to the only one power company in the country. We feel it's a great development especially in our work. We happen to be the only people at the moment with a house which is ready for electricity.
The house had already been done some wiring but for the last decade ,most wires have have gone bad and definitely we shall have to get an electrician to redo the whole thing.
To apply to the company we are required 33,000ksh while to redo he wiring in the house some other necessities to right up the house we approximate about 15,000ksh. So about 50,000ksh will make the whole project run with electricity. Currently we use ksh 3,000 per month on petrol which runs a generator, it's very helpful though limited to many things eg. we can't pump water from the well no security lights ,we can't use a computer if we have one maybe in the night since we run it in the evening; and so many of the things that need power.
I appeal to all of you friends let it be in your mind it's a major thing you can all speak about it and see if we can raise the amount soonest we have it the project lights up in a convenient way.
