The website is dedicated to all partners and volunteers whose compassionate support for D4K is vital to our efforts to make a lasting difference in our fight against global poverty.

We wish to acknowledge our many church and faith based donors for their continued prayer and financial support of our kids residing at D4K. These partners make food and shelter, daily community, and educational opportunity a reality in a place of hopelessness made worse by the AIDS pandemic.

We also wish to thank Christof Putzel, Producer and Director of the award winning film “Left Behind” and Stephen Oloo from Kibera for their film and photographic contributions and James Njoroge Mwaura for his tireless local leadership and commitment to D4K.

In particular, we would like to dedicate this page to thank St. Joseph’s University (Philadelphia), President F. Lannon (SJU) and Mark Orrs (SJU ‘03) for their willingness and foresight to forge a new kind of global partnership. This partnership is one that leverages the resources of two polar extremes, -  a college scholarship to one of the planet’s poorest students in return for bringing diversity and an enhanced global perspective to the university classroom and beyond.

For our many supporters, we hope and pray this is anything but a one way experience. In our Seeds of Success, Partnering Out of Poverty and Volunteers sections we are blessed to share in our Christian experience as we transform lives here on earth.

In our Sustainable Solutions section we look forward to working with you and others to take our D4K community to the next level of continuously integrating Christ’s message of spiritual and physical wholeness and social responsibility in this world, time and place.
